Ithink that unfortunately it must be in the gearbox area! (Edit:- that logic comes from realising that it is a "clutch sensor" not a "clutch pedal position sensor" ) Some people have said that the B8 does not have a clutch switch. That seems a bit strange. I have found part numbers for the B7 (7H0 927 189) but not the B8. Youcan see the fan 1 activation kick up from 10% as soon as the coolant temp hits 105°C and then it goes back down a few degrees and the fan activation goes back to 10%. You might need to check your reservoir cap and and coolant system as a whole to see if it's holding pressure. 50/50 will boil at like 108°C.
