I own a 2015 focus Ecoboost. I've already ordered a socket for the spark plugs but I'm having a hard time finding the plugs themselves stateside. I just had the 25,000 mile service done on my '04 1.8 Zetec C-Max. The guy at 'Lifestyle Ford' in Horsham (West Sussex) said that I should have the plugs changed at this stage. It adds about £75 to the cost of the service so I elected to change them myself. Both the 1.0L and 1.5L EcoBoost engines use a bathed in oil timing belt. The 1.0L has a history of problems with little bits of rubber clogging the oil pump sump strainer eventually leading to oil starvation. Not sure if the 1.5L suffers the same fate. I to was curious what a high mileage oil that is designed to expand and soften seals do to Install the fluid drain plug. Remove the fluid overflow plug using an Allen key (is this installed in the fluid drain plug itself?) Fill the transmission with transmission fluid until the fluid escapes from the overflow. Install the fluid overflow plug using an Allen key. Install the fuel filler plug. Quote.
