I am creating a map in the Nether to test out and build with all of the new features. Before 20w17a, I was able to set my spawn in the Nether using /spawnpoint command (with nothing dictating the Nether, to be clear) but now when I die I get taken back to the world spawn. I have also tried to use /spawnpoint in the End, and that too did not work.
Also, I think the spawn thing is because of Essentials/EssentialsSpawn, just explore their config files and look for something regarding the spawn point, like if you want the players to spawn on their last location or in the spawn set by you Edit: I just read the documentation of Essentials and it says that the permission essentials.spawn-on
But I did have essentials causing the same problem. Check the spawning locations in config and where players are supposed to respawn. Also +1 for luckperms. It's up to date, has import options from almost any other perms, has an amazing web editor, Koz4Christ has a tutorial for it, and its soooo mu h easier to use than others. 13.
