Played GW1 and first year of GW2, and finished the game with 3 level 80s, so I have an understanding of game dynamics and storyline. I bought Thorns/Fire expansion combo last week. I chose a new Rev for the open character slot and popped the level 80 boost. Was pleasantly surprised to see him decked out in all level 80 exotic gear post boost.
Well it seems you did what most people do. Create character, be totally lost on what to do, ask reddit, then I'm Not sure if you are to this step yet but be angry when everyone says start a lvl 1 and lvl it to 80 the real way to learn mechanics of both the game and class. Then after you have lvled the new mesmer to lvl 80 you should have
But as other recommended. At least play a bit to level 20-30 to use it. If you get insta level to 80 its pretty overwelming, even if you level up normally. Because all the game practically unlocks at level 80. If i remember the level boost were removed of the store. (There is a item that you can get ingame to level up faster)
I bought and played GW2 for about a year after it launched. I bought the PoF / HoT package awhile back but only just recently decided to give it a whirl. So I make a new character, and I immediately try to use my level 80 boost. Nothing happens. I got a pack of dyes and some 15 slot bags but my ch
I decided to make a new character to just level up the normal way. While leveling, I was clicking on some items in my inventory bags and I accidentally double clicked on the level 80 boost that was sitting in my "Shared Inventory" slot. What happened next is confusing - I received a bunch of level 60 & 80 account bound items in my bags ( enough
Click the item again to cancel the trial and go back to your original level or make the trial permanent. If suddenly being level 80 is too overwhelming, you could level normally and save the boost for an alt, or consume it on a character that's already level 80. When you do finalize it, you'll get some nice bonus items!
The Level-80 Boost is an item available to all players who purchase Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, and will allow you to boost one character on your account to max level. In this
Second of all, if you want to start a new character with a different profession, playing the game is how you learn how to play that profession. If you use a level 80 boost, you will have the same problem as before: You’ll be a child in an adult’s body. You will be a level 80 Necro (or whatever) with absolutely no idea how to play Necro (or
Dagger is my favorite weapon easily.Revenant: This class felt really strong early on. As I got closer to 80 and tried underwater-combat, I began to understand why so many neglect it. Regardless, my revenant chef will bash you with her frying pan. ;)Warrior: Until recently, this was my low-level crafting character. Greatsword felt unsatisfying.
