CONTROLLER NOT WORKING. I'm paying for Founders edition. Today I wanted to play Far Cry New Dawn purchased on Epic Store. Unfortunately my controller is not recognized somehow by this game. It is recognized when I play Dark Souls 3 via Steam. It is recognized in my system Windows 10.

This game feels as if a controller was intended. Edit: After ditching my 360 controller and using my PS4 controller (which works great), I made some tweeks with my KB and mouse setting. KB and mouse is the way to go once you get used to it in this game, way better precision/control.
So I bought FarCry 5 about a month ago. Last week my xbox just stopped reading the disk. Every other game works. Disk also works in a friends xbox. I have followed all the steps of changing power settings. Uninstalling. But when I went to reinstall it still wont read the disk. Nothing seems to work and I’m about to throw my xbox out the window.
When playing steam version of fc5 a common problem has been reported. Descend and reverse buttons are not mapped when using a controller of any type. I have found a sollution and possibly where the problem lies. The problem is a conflict between the game and the steam controller configuration not being compatible. The solution i have found is in roughly bypassing the steam configuration.
So it seems to work properly. Wired of course. I wouldnt plug the controller in until the game was at the menu There was still no rumble of any kind and I haven't heard of anyone being able to get haptics using a ps5 controller. The Xbox one controller is working perfectly and with no hassle. It has proper rumble in the hand grips and triggers.
I can't have my mouse stop working 3-4 times each hour. How am I supposed to work? It's just not tenable anymore and I'm sad it's come to this. Apple announced M1 so long ago. If this was a priority it would be fixed. Not sure what kind of business plan this is.
