Hi everyone!, I'm interested in buying a 2008 BMW M5 e60 SMG with 60-70K miles on it, and i'm also purchasing a extending warranty, which is called warranty solution, based of what the dealer is saying, the warranty covers everything on the car.
For the restraint system failure to pop up, one of the airbags, sensors, seatbelt tentioners has recorded a fault. It could have been a "low power" fault on the module, but I highly doubt it. The engine cranks for 10-20 turn or as long as i keep it but no firing. it is a 530d and when I plugged inpa to it, it is showing all 6 glow plugs as open circuit which makes me think it is the controller. the day I was testing was quite warm and it wasn't strating.

BMW 530d - Dude - {P} C.M. If you have had the MAF sensor changed, then in all probability this is the turbo on the way out. This is a known problem with the 530d`s - see H.J`s car x car breakdown. My son had a 530d blow a turbo at only 19k miles and had to be towed into a Main Dealer for a replacement unit.
First thing I would do is take the $2K, based on your possibly needing to replace the trans. Second, find a well-regarded BMW indie, have him drop the pan. If the pan is clean (no debris), I would completely change the fluid and filter, and see what happens. If there is debris, you and the indie make a decision.
E60 Coolant dissappearing Help needed. Hi guys , hoping you can help me with a real weird problem. So a few weeks ago I noticed my coolant was disappearing and there was gunk on the coolant cap (pic attached). There were no visible leaks so my local indy had a look and told me the water pump was faulty and there was a leak near it.
